Transferring Money Abroad?
Transferring money abroad is not as expensive as you may think. The fees involved in transferring funds from SA to your offshore account (bank outside of SA) is as follows:
The Transfer fee (bank swift transfer charge) is a flat ZAR 250. This is the fee the bank will charge to do the transfer, irrespective of the amount transferred.
For the UK receiving banks, there may be a fee for inbound international deposits. This can usually be in the region of between £10 – £12, you need to check with your bank to make sure of the amount.
